SVdP at OMC

Members of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul at Our Mother of Consolation (OMC) Parish in northwest Philadelphia serve the needy in our community as follows:

  • Crisis Assistance — we provide direct and confidential financial and spiritual assistance and support to individuals experiencing short-term difficulties. We can help with past due rent and utilities, clothing and food needs, provide basic budgeting, counseling, and personal, face-to-face support to individuals who need immediate assistance.test
  • Homebound Visits — with the elderly several times throughout the year, with flowers and cards from OMC school children
  • Food Pantry — for individuals in need and soup kitchens in the area. Canned and non-perishable good are collected on the first Sunday of each month and then stored in our food pantry.
  • Clothing and Household Items Drive — twice a year. Collected materials are available in thrift shops and proceeds are used to provide direct assistance to individuals in need of help.
